What you pay for
TalentLMS prices by user bracket. Core is $119 a month, billed yearly; Grow is $229 and Pro is $449, and Enterprise is quoted for large user counts. A free plan covers up to five users and ten courses.
Elumio publishes monthly tiers in USD and you buy them yourself. Each tier sets limits on courses, trainees and video minutes; going over a limit stops growth and deletes nothing. The free plan does not expire.
Where a certificate can be checked
TalentLMS issues certificates and supports expiry and reassignment. The completion record lives inside the TalentLMS portal. We could not confirm from TalentLMS’s own pages whether someone outside can re-check a certificate without a portal login, so ask them if that matters to you.
Every Elumio certificate carries a QR code and serial that open a public verify page showing valid, expiring, expired or revoked. The person checking needs no account.
What “complete” means
In strict mode Elumio gives no credit for skipped video. Watch time is counted on the server from the parts of the lecture actually reached, so a lecture cannot complete in less real time than the video is long, and the assessment unlocks only after that.
If an auditor asks whether a trainee watched a lecture rather than opened it, that is the question to put to any vendor, including us.

Choose Elumio if
- Someone outside your organisation — a client, an auditor, an employer — needs to check a named trainee’s certificate without an account.
- You need “complete” to mean the trainee watched the lecture, not that the page was opened.
- You bring your own lectures and do not need a content marketplace.
Choose TalentLMS if
- You want a content marketplace and course authoring tools at scale.
- You need a broad LMS for many kinds of training, and a completion record inside the portal satisfies your auditors.
- You already run TalentLMS, and certificates with expiry and reassignment cover what you are asked for.
How to switch
- Start free.
- Upload the lecture you already have.
- Invite a small cohort.
- Issue one certificate.
- Have someone outside your organisation scan the QR.

Does TalentLMS issue certificates?
Yes. According to its help centre, TalentLMS issues certificates and supports expiry and reassignment. The difference this page describes is where a certificate can be checked: inside the TalentLMS portal, or on a public page that needs no login.
Do I have to stop using TalentLMS to try Elumio?
No. Run the parallel test on the free plan while TalentLMS carries on as it is: upload a lecture you already have, invite a small cohort and issue one certificate.
Is Elumio an LMS?
It runs courses, but it is not trying to be a broad LMS or a content library. It is built so that completion can be proved to someone outside your organisation.
