Turn on strict mode — a per-course switch — and the video can't be skipped: watching only counts in order, and the exam stays locked until it's genuinely watched. And every certificate carries a QR code anyone — an auditor, a client — can scan to check it's real. No account needed.
The real product on sample data, in your browser. No account, no card, nothing saved. First chapter ≈ 3 minutes.
Most platforms track that a video page was opened. Elumio tracks that the video was watched — and everything else hangs off that.
Strict mode is a per-course switch. On, watching only counts for parts reached in order — dragging to the end credits nothing, and a lecture can't be completed in less real time than the video is long. Off, trainees browse freely for optional material.
The assessment unlocks only after the video is genuinely finished. Fixed question order per attempt, time limits, attempt caps — and the answer key never reaches the browser.
Every pass issues a PDF with a serial number and QR code leading to a public page — valid, revoked, or expired — verified against the issuing organisation's records. No login.
The full course, start to finish. Steps 3 and 4 are optional: a course can be the video alone, or the assessment alone when the training happened in a room — and it can finish without issuing a certificate.
Add a lecture — upload one or create one — write the assessment if the course has one, and invite trainees by email.
Sign in with a 6-digit code. Watch the lecture, often on a phone. In strict mode, skipping ahead is locked.
Unlocks only once the video is genuinely finished. Server-controlled: timed, capped attempts.
Passing issues a PDF automatically — name, course, dates, serial number, QR code.
Auditor or client scans the QR and sees valid, revoked, or expired — publicly, with no account.
AI drafts the video, the questions, the notes and the artwork. You approve every piece before a trainee sees it.
You can upload a finished lecture or create one. Creating one starts from a sentence or a document. You agree an outline, then a script and a voiceover. You approve the video before it is rendered — trainees never see a draft. The finished video lives in your library; you attach it to a course when you are ready.
A panel on your home page. It answers from your organisation's own records and from Elumio's documentation. It looks up and explains. It does not change enrollments, certificates, or settings.
Drafted from what your lectures actually say — each with a verbatim transcript quote and a timestamp. You approve every question before a trainee sees it. There is deliberately no "accept all" button.
Assembled from the transcript and the slides, for the people taking the course.
Artwork for the certificate background. You choose it before a certificate uses it.
Each plan includes a monthly allowance of AI credits. The product shows the charge as you go. See plans →
Every certificate prints its verification link. Expired is deliberately not the same as fake — the page says the training happened but is due to be retaken. Records stay verifiable even after a trainee leaves.
When an auditor wants the whole picture rather than one document, an audit pack covers a person or the entire organisation — a summary, the underlying rows, and a checksum proving the file has not been altered. It reports what was recorded, and leaves the judgement of whether that is compliant to the reader.
A certificate of completion, issued by your organisation, verified against your records.
The dashboard shows who has genuinely watched, who has passed, and whose refresher is due — evidence that training happened, ready for the auditor. The figures are watch credit and passes, not a playhead someone dragged.
You open this view on purpose; it does not rely on you remembering to look.
The trainee is emailed before their own certificate lapses, and you receive a digest of everyone across your courses who is coming due — so a refresher gets scheduled rather than discovered late.
The cohort screen flags anyone expiring within thirty days, separately from the emails.
Recording that training happened is one thing. Knowing who is behind, letting a team lead watch their own people, showing a client where their staff stand, and letting your HR system ask whether someone is current — that is what the paid tiers are for.
A dashboard across your whole organisation: who is current, who is overdue, and whose refresher is coming. Filter it to a single course, and choose whether people who have left are counted. There is an optional weekly email, so the number reaches you without anybody remembering to look.
See it in the table ↓A read-only seat, scoped to the courses you choose. A team lead sees how their own people are doing and nothing else — no editing courses, no issuing certificates, no starting a new cycle, no billing, and not the wider team roster.
See it in the table ↓Publish a policy or a handbook for people to read and acknowledge, with reminders and a due date. What gets recorded is the acknowledgement: which version of the document they confirmed, the wording they agreed to, and when. It appears in the audit pack beside the courses.
See it in the table ↓A read-only page covering the trainees you pick, published by you and revocable at any time. It is the one feature that names a person outside your organisation, so it is deliberate at every step — you choose who is included rather than sharing a roster, and revoking kills the link for anyone holding it.
See it in the table ↓Your HRIS or ops tool can look up whether someone completed the course and whether their certificate is valid, revoked, or expired — without logging into Elumio. It is read-only: you mint a key, they pull status.
Going over a limit never takes anything away — growth stops, nothing is deleted, trainees keep working. Free is a plan, not a trial — 1 course, 10 trainees, 50 AI credits, and it doesn't expire. It's the first column of the comparison below.

Prices are in US dollars and exclude sales tax or VAT, which is added at checkout based on where you are — the total is shown before you pay. If Elumio is not right for you, tell us within fourteen days of your first payment and we will refund it in full. You do not have to explain why.
Run out of AI credits mid-month? Top up anytime — it takes effect immediately and nothing pauses. Free, Starter and Pro certificates carry a footer line ("Issued with Elumio — verify at elumio.io/verify"); Business and Scale remove it.
A busy month for one trainer is about 230 credits; a five-seat team about 430. The final charge never exceeds the estimate shown before an action runs.

Yes — there is a free plan, not a time-limited trial. It carries one course, a small group of trainees, an allowance of stored video and a monthly allowance of AI credits, and it does not expire. The pricing table above gives the exact figures.
You can stay on it indefinitely. Nothing is deleted if you decide not to upgrade.
Watch credit is calculated on the server, from intervals actually reached — not from where the playhead sits. A dragged slider or an idle tab banks nothing.
Rewinding is always free; it is skipping ahead that is restricted. Strict mode is a per-course switch, so optional material can stay freely browsable while mandatory training is locked down. Watching faster than the permitted rate earns no extra credit.
Only once every required lecture is genuinely complete. Until then the assessment stays locked, and the lock is enforced on the server rather than hidden in the interface.
The exception is a course you have told us has no video — where the training happened in a room and Elumio only scores it. There is no watch gate on those, because there is nothing to watch.
Every pass issues a PDF containing the holder's name, the course, the dates, a serial number and a QR code.
Scanning the QR opens a public page that reports one of three states — valid, revoked, or expired — checked against the issuing organisation's records. No login and no Elumio relationship is required for whoever is checking.
Expired is deliberately not the same as fake: the page says the training happened and is due to be retaken.
On a custom training address the verification page may wear that organisation's theme, and it answers only for certificates that organisation issued. elumio.io/verify stays the global check, in Elumio's theme, for any certificate.
Yes — on Business and Scale. The Developer API is a read-only lookup so your HRIS or internal tools can see enrollments and certificate status for people in your Elumio organisation.
It is a proof layer beside HR (completion and verifiable certificates), not a content LMS catalog inside your HR system.

Paddle, who sell the subscription as our merchant of record. The name beside the charge will not be ours.
Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, not immediately, and you can undo it at any point before then.
Nothing is deleted. Every course, trainee, video and certificate remains, and everyone already enrolled keeps working. What changes is that your organisation returns to the free plan's limits, so you cannot add new courses, enroll new trainees, upload new video or use the AI features until you subscribe again.
If Elumio is not right for you, tell us within fourteen days of your first payment and we will refund it in full. You do not have to explain why.
It is offered once per organisation, on the first payment of a subscription. Renewals are not refundable, because the remedy is available before the money moves: cancelling at any point during a period stops the next payment.
Refunds are issued by Paddle to the payment method you used, and normally reach a statement within five to ten working days depending on your bank.
Your first course is free — 10 trainees, 1 course, the full player and verification.
