How Elumio works

The path from a course to a certificate someone else can check, and who uses each part.

A course is a video lecture, an assessment, and a certificate. Each one can be turned off on purpose. A course still needs a video or an assessment.

Watching is credited on the server. Turn on Watch in order and a trainee can only move back through what they have already watched. Dragging forward credits nothing. A lecture cannot complete in less real time than the video is long. The player marks Counted time apart from stretches that are Not yet watched — locked.

The assessment opens only after that completion, when the course includes both. A pass issues a certificate with a code. Anyone can check that code on /verify, with no account.

Trainers work in the organisation: courses, enrollments, and coverage. Trainees receive a code by email and learn on their phone, usually. Verifiers need no account. Staff seats are colleagues on the trainer side — the people who build and read the courses — not the people being trained.

The free plan is a plan, not a trial, and it does not expire. What each plan includes is on the pricing page. Questions about paying, cancelling, or a refund stay on the FAQ.

Where a guide shows a screen with an organisation in it, that organisation is Harbourline Logistics, a sample. It is not a customer.

The path to a first certificate

  1. Create an account and open the trainer home. The checklist there is Five steps to your first certificate.
  2. Create a course and choose whether it includes a lecture, an assessment, and a certificate.
  3. Add the video, then write the assessment — or let it be drafted and approve the questions you keep.
  4. Enroll trainees by email and send them the invite yourself.
  5. Read coverage: who is current, due soon, overdue, or not started.
