For trainees
Watch a lecture
What counts as watching, and why dragging ahead may not move you on.
Before you start
Open the course from your list. If it includes a video, that comes before the assessment.
Steps
- Play the lecture and let it run.
- Watch the bar. Counted is time that has been credited. Not yet watched — locked is still ahead, when your provider requires the video in order.
- Stay with it until the lecture is marked complete. Completion needs the amount of the video your provider set, in real time.
What happens next
When the lecture is complete on the server, the assessment opens if the course has one. Dragging the playhead forward does not by itself complete anything.
Common problems
- Dragging ahead and seeing no progress means the course requires watching in order. Go back to the last counted stretch and continue from there.
- Leaving the page does not erase what was already counted. Come back and carry on.
- If the lecture will not complete and you did watch it through, ask your training provider. They can see counted time. You cannot change that record yourself.
