Creating videos
Create a video with AI
Open the creator, draft the slides, add a voiceover, and approve the video before anyone watches.
Before you start
Sign in as a trainer. You do not need a course first. A video can live under Videos on its own, and you attach it when you are ready.
Creating a video spends credits from the organisation’s monthly allowance. The creator shows the charge as you go. If the allowance is used up, existing courses keep running. What each plan includes is on the pricing page. Credits are also explained on the FAQ.
Steps
- Choose Videos, then + Create video. The page is titled Create a video with AI. From a course, the same workspace opens under Build one from a topic, then Open the creator.
- Under What are we teaching today?, describe the topic in a sentence or two. Optionally choose a pill under Set the vibe, fill Organisation / author name, choose Attach file for a PDF, Word .docx, or .txt/.md, or pick a row under Or start from a template.
- Choose Draft outline first to agree the shape, or Draft deck to write the slides. Wait for Writing… to finish.
- Read the slides. Change the words, add or remove a slide, reorder, and pick a colour theme. Those edits do not spend credits. Directing the lecture with another sentence does, and the creator shows the charge.
- In Voiceover studio, choose Voice, then Hear it to sample it. Choose Add narration. A card labelled Costs credits appears first — confirm only if you accept the charge. If narration already exists, the same control reads Update narration.
- When the slides and the voiceover are ready, choose Approve and render. Trainees never see a draft. You do not need to stay on the page. The render steps through Queued, Rendering, Uploading, Processing, then Ready.
- The finished video appears in Videos. To put it on a course, open the course and, under Use a video from the library, type a lecture title and choose Choose a video. See Add a lecture.
What happens next
The video lives in the library until you attach it. A video you create carries captions from the approved script. Each lecture that plays it still has its own enrollments and watch progress.
Common problems
- If Approve and render stays unavailable, generate the voiceover first. The control says a video with no audio would render silent.
- If a render is already under way, Approve and render stays unavailable until it finishes. Processing may show taking longer than usual — leave it. The video still appears in Videos when it is ready.
- Attach file does not accept a slide deck. Use PDF with selectable text, Word .docx, or plain .txt and .md.
- If creating is refused because the allowance is used up, existing courses keep running. Open Billing. The FAQ explains credits.
- If Videos is where you started, the lecture is not on a course until you attach it. See Add a lecture.
