Invite trainees

Send a sign-in code to each person so they can start.

Before you start

The course is the one they should take. Publish it before you expect them to start. Elumio does not email the invitation for you. You copy a message or a link and send it. The sign-in code itself is a separate email: they request it with Send me a code.

Steps

  1. Open the course and find Enroll trainees.
  2. If the course has more than Default, pick or create a batch. Otherwise they join Default. You can set a deadline on the batch from this form.
  3. Paste the email addresses.
  4. Choose Enroll, or Enroll into and the batch name when a batch is selected.
  5. Choose Copy messages to send, or later Copy invite message and Copy invite link only from that person’s row under Progress. Send what you copied.

What happens next

They appear under Progress. The first time they sign in with that address, the enrollment is linked to them. There is no password. They choose Send me a code on the sign-in page, using the address you enrolled.

Common problems

  • If the code email never arrives, the address on the enrollment is the one that must request it. A typo means they are enrolled on an inbox nobody reads. Enroll the right address.
  • There is no button that sends the invitation again by itself. Copy the message or the link from Progress and send it again. See Resend a sign-in code.
