For trainees
Take the assessment
When the assessment opens, how attempts work, and what a pass does.
Before you start
The lecture has to be complete first, on a course that has both. A course with no video can open the assessment straight away. A course with no assessment is finished when the video is.
Steps
- On the course, choose Start assessment. If you already began, the same control reads Resume assessment.
- Answer the questions. You need the pass mark your provider set.
- Submit when you are ready. Each submission uses an attempt, up to the number they allowed. Unlimited means you are not counting down to a last try.
What happens next
A pass completes the assessment. If the course issues a certificate, it is issued then, with a code someone else can check. A fail leaves you able to try again while attempts remain. Your provider may require a wait between attempts.
Common problems
- If Start assessment is not there, the lecture is not complete yet. Watch until it is counted. Dragging ahead does not unlock it when the course requires order.
- When attempts are used up, your training provider decides what happens next. They own the enrollment and the questions.
- Correct answers, if your provider turned that on, are shown only once the assessment is finished — passed, or out of attempts. They are not shown while a retake is still possible.
